Our Curriculum
At The Little School, our in-house curriculum is designed to promote early learning, creativity, and social-emotional growth through hands-on, play-based experiences.
We pair this with our custom bible curriculum, which introduces children to God’s love and teachings in age-appropriate ways. Each week’s learning theme connects to a simple Biblical truth, helping children grow in both knowledge and faith.
Together, these two curriculums form a seamless program that nurtures the whole child — heart, mind, and spirit.
Our teachers have daily lesson plans which include:
Our students also participate in weekly music lessons! These lessons are tailored to their specific age groups and include learning music and songs to prepare for performances, hand motions to help recognize rhythms and tempos, and of course, instruments!
In addition to our daily curriculum, students participate in weekly chapel services in our fellowship hall, where they are introduced to a new Bible story, engage in worship music, and receive guidance and inspiration from our dedicated staff.
We operate on a 12-month, year-round schedule and follow our own custom Little School operating calendar, which is based on the Zachary Community School District (ZCSD) calendar, though not identical.
We align with ZCSD for emergency closures and weather-related cancellations, but we remain open for additional days during extended holiday breaks and teacher in-service or remote learning days, providing families with reliable care and continuity year-round.
